Dhāraṇā 2.2: The Season of Flow

With version 2.1, we built a solid foundation, bringing the seven dimensions of awareness into each journal. It was a quiet but meaningful step: users could now write, speak, and reflect in a more structured way, noticing their tasks, decisions, ideas, relationships, emotions, insights, and what they’re clearing.

But it’s still hard to see the bigger picture. You could open one journal at a time and see what’s in it, but there was no way to see, across days, all your tasks, decisions, or ideas in one place.

That’s where Dhāraṇā 2.2 comes in.

Introducing: Flow

In this release, we’re bringing a new section called Flow: a space where your entries start to come together.

From your journals, all your Tasks, Decisions, and Ideas now flow into one place. You can finally see them together: what’s pending, what’s emerging, and what’s calling for your attention.

Right now, Flow covers just three of the seven dimensions (Tasks, Decisions, and Ideas). The remaining four (States of Being, Relationships, Learnings, and Clearings) will come in future versions, as we continue expanding this flow of awareness into all aspects of life.

For now, it’s a modest beginning: a screen that simply lists all your tasks from different journals, all your decisions waiting to be made, and all your ideas that have surfaced.

It’s not yet intelligent. We do not want to give you a mere list of everything. But it’s a foundation for the upcoming features.

Why “just listing” isn’t enough

In today’s world, we’re flooded with endless choices and decisions. Just seeing them doesn’t make them easier and that’s why we feel listing isn’t the end goal.

My mentor once told me:

“Every choice reflects a fragment in our mind. Once the fragment is resolved, the choice becomes clear.”

That line stayed with me.

So much of our struggle with decisions isn’t about information. It’s about fragmentation. We’re torn between parts of ourselves, roles we play, fears we hold. And so we stay stuck, overthinking and postponing clarity.

Future versions of Dhāraṇā will begin to address this, helping us see and resolve these inner fragments, so that decision-making becomes lighter, faster, more whole.

The Next Layer: Intelligent Tasks

Tasks, too, are just the beginning. Listing them is useful, but visionaries (the kind of people Dhāraṇā is built for) need more.

Not everything that lands on your list deserves your energy. Some tasks are noise. Some can be simplified, delegated, or even deleted.

In the future, Dhāraṇā will help you see what truly matters, and clear the rest. For now, we begin simply, by gathering it all in one place.

About Ideas (and why they’re not checkboxes)

Ideas are beautiful, but also dangerous. They often arise in moments of excitement, confusion, or distraction.

So in 2.2, we’ve chosen to list them as plain bullet points, not as tasks that has checkboxes against them. This is intentional. We want ideas to breathe, not rush into action.

In upcoming versions, we’ll help users reflect on which ideas are genuinely aligned, and which are simply impulses wearing creativity’s mask.

A Small Flow

This release feels like a small step, but a meaningful one philosophically. For the first time, Dhāraṇā begins to flow, from inner reflection (journaling) toward outer clarity (seeing, deciding, and acting).

There’s still so much to do. But that’s the beauty of building in the open. We don’t yet know what the perfect version looks like.
