I See You, Mara!
A free 2-hour online workshop on the inner patterns (fear, self-doubt, distraction, the urge to delay) that quietly pull us away from the work we care about, and how noticing them changes things.
Some days the work you care about still leaves you drained. You have good intentions and a full plate, and somewhere in between you start wondering whether you really know what you’re doing.
There’s an old story about the night before the Buddha’s awakening. He’s visited by Māra: fear, doubt, distraction, the pull to put things off. The Buddha doesn’t wrestle with him. He just says, “I see you, Māra,” and the hold loosens.
That recognition is what this workshop is about.
Māra never really left. He tends to show up right before we do something that matters, as we sit down to write, or commit to something, or stay with the discomfort that growth asks for. He rarely shouts. He whispers:
- “What’s the point?”
- “You’ve earned a break.”
- “You’re not ready.”
- “Tomorrow’s fine.”
We don’t have to argue our way past that voice. Naming it is usually enough to open a little space, and from that space you get to choose your next move instead of running the old pattern.
Over two hours together, we’ll look at these patterns honestly, learn to catch them as they happen, and practise meeting them with some clarity and kindness.
This round is still being planned and the date will be announced soon. Reserve your spot and I’ll write to you once it’s confirmed.
